My daughter is one and a half now. From a very early age, I have noticed that she absolutely loves watching television. So we tried having her watch movies… and slowly it started to click for me. We needed to see if she would watch movies… in Spanish! Thankfully, it works. She loves watching movies in Spanish. So, I have put together some of her favorite movies that we watch in Spanish and written this helpful blog post for others to follow along!
But first, we need to figure out how to watch these movies in Spanish!
How To Watch Movies In Spanish
If you live in the United States or another country where the primary language is English, then it can be difficult to find Spanish movies. It’s easy to find movies in English, but finding those movies translated to Spanish is much more difficult. I have searched high and low for movies translated to Spanish or originally published in Spanish. There are a couple of important hacks that I have found.
One of those hacks is to change the language on apps, such as Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. Our Favorite Spanish Movies For Kids
And without further ado… here are some of my favorite (and my daughter’s favorite) movies to watch in Spanish!

Below you will find that I have named each movie in Spanish with the English name after it in parentheses. Then, I have provided a brief summary of each movie, where the movie is available for viewing, whether the movie is rated G or PG, what languages are available for each movie, and then a link to a trailer found on YouTube in Spanish for each movie.
La Vida Secreta De Tus Mascotas (The Secret Life Of Pets)
Max is a terrier living a comfortable life in New York City with his owner until one day she bring home a new dog, Duke. The action begins when Duke and Max go for a walk but encounter a group of ferocious alley cats. Out of nowhere, Duke and Max are put in the back of a truck and taken to the pound.
From there, Duke and Max are determined to find there way home to their owner. They make friends with other animals along the way and cause mischief. Will Duke and Max make it back to their owner unscathed?

La Vida Secreta De Tus Mascotas 2 (The Secret Life of Pets 2)
The Secret Life of Pets 2 follows our furry friend, Max, as he takes a trip from the city to the countryside farm. On the farm, Max encounters cows, foxes, and a crazed turkey. However, Max’s luck changes when he meets a gruff farm dog named Rooster that tries to cure Max’s “behavioral” issues. In the end, Rooster teaches Max how to be brave and tough in the face of danger.
Upon Max’s return to the city, he is able to help his animal friends save a sweet tiger from the circus and its menacing overlord and foxes.

Coco En Español (Coco)
Coco follows a young boy named Miguel who has dreams of becoming a famous musician like his hero Ernesto de la Cruz. However, Miguel’s family has banned music for several generations, so Miguel must learn to play music in secret.
Before Día De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Miguel tries to prove his musical talents, but finds himself in the stunning land of his ancestors, Land of the Dead. While there, Miguel meets a trickster and musician named Héctor. Miguel and Héctor embark an incredible journey to learn the truth about Miguel’s family history.
Then, we find that Ernesto de la Cruz is a fraud and in fact Héctor is actually Miguel’s father, an accomplished musician. In turn, Ernesto de la Cruz is finally exposed for who he truly is and Miguel’s family renews their love of Héctor and music.

Los Increíbles (The Incredibles)
The Incredibles is a story of married superheroes named Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. Society has grown to hate superheroes for how they perceive them as a group that does more harm than good. This forces Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl to go underground and no longer partake in any super-powered activities because they have been banned by the government.
Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl must raise their three children in what they consider to be mundane lives. This causes Mr. Incredible to long for a return to his life of adventure as a superhero.
Soon after, Mr. Incredible gets an opportunity to be a superhero again, which leads him to an island to fight an out-of-control robot. Then, we find that Mr. Incredible is in trouble, so Elastigirl and her three kids must learn to use their superpowers in order to save their father.

Los Increíbles 2 (Incredibles 2)
Fourteen years later, Disney Pixar films released the Incredibles 2 to much fanfare. This time, the Incredibles take on a new adventure that involves a role reversal and change in family dynamics.
The Incredibles are approached by a wealthy group looking to restore the image of superheroes. They pick Elastigirl as the superhero to lead them into the next generation. However, this leaves Mr. Incredible at home watching the kids, helping them with their homework, and trying to get their baby, Jack-Jack, to sleep. As you can imagine, Elastigirl loves her new life of adventure fighting crime, but it leaves Mr. Incredible exhausted and overwhelmed.
It turns out that the wealthy group that hired Elastigirl is actually plotting to rid the world of all superheroes. Mr. Incredible and his three kids use their powers to evade the villains rescue the superheroes before it is too late.

Toy Story 3
Like most toys, eventually their loving kids outgrow them. In this case, Andy was preparing to leave for college. This meant that Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the rest of the gang were headed for the attic. Unfortunately, the toys found themselves mistakenly placed on the street curb with the trash.
Woody miraculously saves the gang from being thrown into the dump truck with the trash, but instead the gang is donated to a local day-care center. The gang is excited to play with kids, but they soon find that these kids are wild and unruly. Plus, the other toys at the day-care center are mean and keep the gang from leaving.
Woody is the only toy left behind, so he finds the gang at the day-care center. Then, Woody and the gang plan and execute a great escape!

Toy Story 4
Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky. As Woody and Bo discuss the old days, they soon start to realize that they’re worlds apart when it comes to what they want from life as a toy.

Video game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz must risk it all by traveling to the World Wide Web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, “Sugar Rush.” In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet — the netizens — to help navigate their way, including an entrepreneur named Yesss, who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site BuzzzTube.

Zootróplis (Zootopia)

Del Revés (Inside Out)

Monstruos University (Monsters University)

Buscando a Nemo (Finding Nemo)
Marlin, a clown fish, is overly cautious with his son, Nemo, who has a foreshortened fin. Buscando a Dory (Finding Dory)
Dory is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Dory now knows that her family reunion will only happen if she can save mom and dad from captivity.

Bambi
